8th Grade Programming and Robotics Class
Do you like LEGO and computer games? If so, this could be the course for you.
We begin with programming simple computer games such as Rock, Paper, Scissors and Lucky 7s using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Students learn the steps in creating basic computer programs using Microsoft's Visual Basic.
The next unit uses the LEGO Mindstorm robot kit and the ROBOLAB software programming software. Students will control the robots using light, touch and rotations sensors. Students will learn about how gears and wheel sizes impact the performance of their bots. Students will share a robot kit with one other student in this cyber adventure.
